Philosophy of the Person.. :)

2 weeks ago, I learned in my Philosophy class that there are 2 types of relationships on how we treat the Other. First is the I-it Relationship where in the Subject denies the "true essential existence of the Other" therefore seeing other as an object. This is also the time when you are more concerned about telling how you feel to the Other rather than giving more attention on the Other's need.
The second type of relationship is a deeper one. The I-Thou relationship is a kind of relationship that allows the subject to see the others the same way the subject sees itself. Therefore treating the other as a Subject.
